We’re all searching for some sort of appeasement. Whether we acknowledge it or not, we all strive for a sense of security. Either in material things, or other people.  It takes a lot to embrace the fact that no mortal being will ever be a perfectly consistent liability. Not your mother, your sister, your brother, your cousin, your father.. nobody. There will always be those stints of vulnerability and loneliness during this time we have on earth. You could be surrounded by the most supportive and loving people, have the best boyfriend/girlfriend, and feel on top of the world. But there will always be those times you wonder where they’ve all gone when you need them the most. Days where you are the only person you can count on to jump-start your perseverance. It’s a shame how we can lose people we love, because we don’t know how to love ourselves first. Don’t depend on others too much. Take care of yourself first and let anybody else willing to help come second. Let everybody else simply be an addition to your already well-being.
